The tone of that article makes it very clear that it's author is biased. I assume that his closing line was in jest but maybe I'm giving Noah too much credit.
Gun owners are the happiest people in the US

"It's easy enough in certain precincts to caricature armed Americans as an angry and miserable fringe group."
I prefer my arguments without straw men, thank you very much.
In any case, there isn't much of a point to this article. The fact that they are talking about guns in general and not handguns pretty much detaches it from the political conversation in this country. Also, urban gun ownership and rural gun ownership are two VERY different things.

Super-premium theater chain in the US to sell $35 movie tickets
March 28, 2008 9:50am
This makes no sense to me. Shouldn't the business model be to charge normal prices to get people in the door so they can bang them out with high prices for mediocre meals and/or drinks?
As others have said, there are theaters all over the country that employ this business model instead of the one village roadshow plans to use. All I know is that there is no way you'd find me there. Then again, I'm not willing to blow $100 on a hoodie either so maybe there is a market for it.

"Hmmm...I can't decide if you are refreshingly blunt or an just an ass."
I'll go with refreshingly blunt since most people wouldn't even have acknowledged the original comment. I've never read anything sigler has written but I'm gonna give this one a shot.

@11:15am -- just so you know, the guys who opened that place contributed a lot over the years to the neighborhood that you feel they were replacing. I understand the need to vent about all the new condos, etc, but I don't see how those two are part of the problem.

I'm with JP. I've always had the same problem with domestic breweries -- too many IPAs, too many overhopped ales.

I feel the same way (actually, I think I'm in almost complete agreement with themindfantastic (#12)). If I like an artist, I want to listen to their whole album or their whole catalog. I can't abide the idea of just shuffling through songs by different artists. If I'm in a Sean Price mood, I want to listen to a Sean Price album, goddammit! I also insist on keeping all my mp3s in folders by album, then by artist. I've never been comfortable with dumping them all in one place and letting the tags do their job.
