I'm a comcast broadband subscriber.
Does anyone know how to see what your actual usage is? I have no idea how much data I'm pulling down to be able to see if I should start getting worried.
One funny comcast customer service story:
They started sending out notices we can get tiered service, faster speeds the more you pay. We were automatically in the middle tier. I called and asked how to tell if I was getting that level of service. Their answer: you are, but you can't test it. Too many variables, but we promise you are getting that speed. I know it is slow when all the neighbors are home but luckily I'm a shift worker and have our street all to myself during the day.
Interesting items found by airplane restorers

I worked on Air Force cargo jets in the early '90s, at that time the aircraft were mostly 25 or more years old (C-141B).
As an instrument tech, we had to crawl all over places where no one often went, under the floors, up in the T-tail, in the wing roots.
There was tons of junk rattling around in these areas, cut-off connectors, safety wire, dropped pens and pencils. All of our tools were accounted for and if a tool was missing it would ground the aircraft, but un-inventoried items often got left behind.
I remember thinking that it was a good thing the planes couldn't do barrel rolls or all the junk would fall out.
My one great find was a D-cell maglight that was a "lost tool" for 2 weeks until I found it rattling between the ribs above the cargo door. I still have it.
At the top of the T-tail most techs would sign their name and leave some graffiti. No one saw it but us.
Sadly, most of the planes are coke cans now.

When they suggest circling important topics in red I remembered a problem I always have when using a used textbook- If someone has already gone through highlighting sentences, that is all I see. It is practically impossible for me to read the un-highlighted sentences. Too bad the new books are so expensive.

Ok...my wife gave me a Touch for my birthday, but I have no idea how to get these cool little apps. I went to the Apple site but it says that apps are coming soon. http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/appstore/
Is there somewhere else to get apps?
