I would love to try that to quell the inexplicable itching I have....I hate taking antihistamines, and especially hate getting the shrug "could be anything" reasoning for the allergy from my doctor. Looks weird, but no itching....ah....

Ha. I don't need a study for this. My four year old has been using flattery for about a year now. When she wants something, I suddenly hear "You're very pretty Mommy!"

I never hear this unless she's done something, or wants something. She's come up with this on her own as well as it's not a behaviour my husband or I ever engage in. We don't compliment without reason or prior to activities-afterwards maybe, which accounts for the "Wow Mommy, these cookies are really awesome."

She's developing all the necessary skills to be a politician. We're not pleased.

I will forever love book stores for that book smell. Old book smell is one of my favorites-reminds me of being a kid, being surrounded by so many new ideas...

I need that for work. oh how lovely that would be.

I'm adopted and grew up 30 mins away from my birth family, which is quite extensive. None of my cousins look even remotely like me, nor does my sister. I could have walked smack dab into any of them (and maybe did) and not known it.

Just because you're biologically related doesn't necessarily mean you look alike. And I would assume that twins separated at birth were then placed in different towns, and may not have had much, if any access to their records.

I dunno. there's still something really creepy about eating a piece of yourself at your wedding. Girl got what she wanted at all, but it just seems a wee bit odd...

And will it get weird if people ask for certain pieces? "hi, I'd like a slice of the left cheek?" "I'd like a pinky?"

I do agree that at least she did what she wanted. Even if it's freaking me out right now.

What I don't get is why there isn't some sort of query against DOB. Even if the agent isn't able to make a common sense decision, then couldn't the system tell itself, duh, he's 5, not 37.
