Thanks for the irritating robot trashcan, Japan!

Actually I found the fact that I laughed out loud whilst reading the synopsis quite a positive experience, and it drew me into watching the video :)

Latte-froth printer

April 19, 2008 9:28am

"The amazing Latte Printer." "What is that, uh... sugar or salt?" "It's salt of course. It's a latte printer, and as every schoolchild knows, the white layer on top of the latte is made of a floating island of pure salt. You total, drivelling idiot."

At least, that's what I'd have said.

Creative Stops Hacker from Improving Their Product

April 1, 2008 11:49am

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in Creative's VP Corporate Communications' office right now (if he still has one). To pull the thread or not to pull? I've never seen a customer uprising on this scale before.

Orbita Tourbillon Watch Winder Reviewed (Verdict: Seriously, You Bought a Watch Winder?)

March 29, 2008 6:18am

I do love the expensive watch ads that bang on about how pilots and stupidly rich people wear these things because they're so incredibly accurate.

Unless you're navigating with a sextant, how many people actually need a watch that's accurate to anything more than a few seconds each day; let alone a fraction of a second? Ah, the joys of marketing.

Rumor: Apple Will Vet iPhone/Touch Applications

March 2, 2008 4:11am

O2 in the UK are reporting the iPhone has the lowest percentage returns of any handset they've released. I can understand why Apple would be very jumpy about letting people release apps that may break it, quite apart from the whole "big brother" thing.

Personally I'd rather have a locked-in, cyberpoliced handset that is stable and reliable, rather than having an open platform which is also open for abuse. Facebook Apps - need I say more?
