LOLCode developer want-ad

October 27, 2007 4:23pm

Any chance this is an ad put out by Google? Basically if you can learn LOLCode so quickly:
1) You are a fast learner and know computer science. (If you know cs fundamentals, you can pick up most languages by learning syntax)
2) Google has been known to put out ads like this to target a specific audience
3) If you are writing LOLCode Apps, you have a pation for CS.

I'm not saying it is. I'm just saying that I wouldn't be surprised.

What's wrong with that? I've got some $2 bills. I don't spend them -- they're rare -- but they're legal currency.

You can actually go to the bank and ask for a stack of these. The last time my friend and I went to Vegas, he asked for $200 in $2 bills to use as tip. It was just a fun thing to do.

Puzzle: three-way pistol duel

#28 is correct.

What if the reason for the duel involves you sleeping with the other two cowboys' wives? At that point, your odds of survival is 0%.

Homebrew "lockpick" slides under door and turns handle

September 20, 2007 5:49am

We did the same thing back at Columbia Univ about 7 years ago. You can do the same thing with a coat hanger that slid under the door. Another thing that you can do is keep a coat hanger attached to the inside of the door hanging down. Whenever you need to open the door without a keep, you just stick a pen or pencil under the door to grab the hanger and pull on the hanger.

Grooveshark -- DRM-free P2P music -- pays uploaders

September 7, 2007 7:48am

So basically they are piggybacking off of LimeWire and charging people that don't know that they can get it for free (illegally).

Problem I see with this is that the record agencies would want quality control on the tracks that they release.
