Mudpuppy Magnet Monsters in a tin

April 27, 2008 11:22pm

I have these!!!

When the characters are built, they're 7 1/2 inches, on average. The backgrounds are 6 x 8 1/2 inches.

I even thought of photographing some of the characters on the backgrounds, and framing the prints in a clutster somewhere in my house. They're really cool :)

Yes- they work on my 'fridge, and the sides of my old metal desk- so I have them split up, some in both places. I got mine at my campus bookstore- and I remember there was another set. 'Maybe a castle/princess/ fairies sort of theme?

I have sons 4 and 11, who both like to play with them. It's a toss-up whether I bought them more for me or them ;)

11 students suspended for banana prank

If my son wanted to do this- I'd insist that he do such during a break- like snack bar. Otherwise? I'd help the kids with their props!

I say this having completed grad school on full scholarship, and having raised my 5th grader son, thus far, to be doing great in school- academically and behaviorally.

I value education, and some order must be maintained such that we can all get one. But, whimsy's a life necessity :)

#23, Just what sort of Peace is it that you're advocating in your screenname? The cultural insensitivity of your comment suggests it's not global.

Amazing!

I love Lawrence Welk! Agreed. It's a bizarre show. I love the clips of the characters now, reminiscing. Creepy, creepy people.

HOWTO make an animatronic lion mask with superpowers

Yeah... I'm kinda shocked that anyone'd get weirded out by this post. I imagined the Boing Boing readership to be more progressive than that... I hope comment #6 is just a joke we're not getting.

Regardless- totally agreed, the artsy/ techy appeal here resounds far beyond the utility the post has to those interested specifically in an alternative lifestyle involving cosplay. As such- it's perfect Boing! Boing! material.
