I was with BOA for years - I was initially very happy with them, but deteriorating service & increasing fees lead me to close my account about 7 years ago. The final straw was when my 'free' checking account starting costing me $3.00 every time I wanted to talk to a teller!

Several years ago I spent a year in South Korea. In the summer time we would often seen kids as young as 5 or 6 walking home unattended from the corner market with ice cream, little brother or sister in tow.
Our culture is really way out of whack on the 'stranger danger' issue. The odds of your child being abducted by a stranger are vanishingly small compared to, say, the odds they will suffer a serious brain injury while riding bikes, be 'inappropriately touched' by a friend or family member, die of a bee sting, or probably even be killed by lightening. Not to say it doesn't happen, but it doesn't happen very often.

When walking with small children who are falling behind, the slower you walk, the slower they will walk, until they stop.
It's not just small kids. I've had 2 or 3 girlfriends, including the one who is now my wife, that exhibited this behavior. I can sometimes slow down to a complete stand-still & my wife will come to a stop about 3 feet behind me, wondering what the problem is. It's kind of funny sometimes, although it's kind of annoying trying to talk to her while we walk.

The mortgage crisis may just be the straw that broke the camel's back. As far as Bush's responsibility in the pending economic collapse, here's an interesting tidbit:

calculations show that there is a 7 trillion $ difference between the projected results of Clinton's budget vs. Bush's budget over the last 8 years.
That's a lot of potential bailout money!

Back in my days on the Grateful Dead tour circuit, lot rats used to run around with their coolers on skateboards selling bear, sodas, & H20. One of these would have been great!
