Against Ben Stein's wishes, lizards rapidly evolve after introduction to island
April 23, 2008 2:51pm
"I don't understand the Ben Stein slam. I haven't seen his film so I'm not qualified to criticize it or endorse it, but my understanding was that he attempts to address the possibility of intelligent design as an origin of life. Creatures evolve, there's no doubt about that, but I thought Stein was asking if it was possible that some supreme being brought life to these evolving creatures in the first place. Does he come out and say that species don't evolve? Again, I'm just wondering, as I haven't seen the film."
Yeah, maybe you should see the film before commenting on it. Just like Ben Stein should've learned about evolution before making a movie about it.

Kids' court testimony may be better than adults
March 23, 2008 9:15pm
"This is BS. The child abuse hysteria in the 80's and 90's proved otherwise. Children are easily influenced by even well meaning adults. The memories of the children in the McMartin case (and in countless others) were contaminated by their parents and the social workers.
We are social creatures and our sense of reality is defined by the community we find ourselves in."
Well, we all look forward to the thoughtful scientific analysis you are working on for us in order to show us that you aren't just pulling stuff out of your ass.

Interesting anti-graffiti sign
March 10, 2008 3:05pm
"The "fuck you" message is NOT necessarily implicit in the use of graffiti as communication.
It IS, however, implicit in that sign.
I believe the term is "projection"?"
Wow, your terse claims convinced me to ignore the well written scientific papers and the subject.

March 5, 2008 11:42am
"Was it only 60 or so years ago, when the Nazis were bombing the crap out of London when THIS POSTER appeared in London with a simple message from the King?
A simple message that, today, has been forgotten by just about everyone?"
Luckily you haven't told us what that message is, so that we can continue to live free and without fear.

February 9, 2008 10:22pm

Suburban family discovers hidden room filled with toxic mold and a taunting note
January 6, 2008 8:44am
"Man that's terrible.
Yes, leaving a note was incredibly stupid."
Because, you know, leaving the empty room to be found by future residents with no hint to the house's problems, so that the current residents could experience its affects without having any idea what is going on would be much nicer and incredibly intelligent?
