I am sure that those who don't care about this are seriously under-represented in this thread. So let me join those who are saying, *I don't care about this bogus issue*.

That being said, I think the people who do care about this are just expecting the wrong things. Like the people who complain about wikipedia not being 100% accurate all the time. It is what it is.

And boingboing is what it is, and that means it's up to the boingers to do whatever they want. And if you've come here expecting anything else, no wonder you're disappointed.

This is bothersome on so many levels.

One of which is that news stories frequently quote people. These people probably don't appreciate the AFA lying about what they've said.

These people believe there are invisible demons roaming around haunting us, to be afraid of. In that perspective, being afraid of gay people isn't so bad since at least gay people are real.

I have to call them out on the identical graphical display of how the iPod's space is used. The shape of the indicator, the way it's segmented, the reflection, even the colors are the same.

It's such a shame when great open source projects get stuck in a "playing catch-up" pattern instead of trying to do something new. Is the Banshee project trying to make a cheap iTunes knock-off, or a serious iTunes competitor/alternative?

It would be great to have separate feeds for these, along with the combined feed that already exists, and here's why: I instruct my podcatcher to keep only the most recent episode of a podcast. This works well for daily/weekly podcasts. I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this, and I'm slightly less sure, but I believe, that's the default setting in some podcatchers.

I'm afraid that with them all mixed together, I'll miss something if a vlog and a regular daily boingboingtv are released on the same day.
