If only we had some method of conveyance that would allow us to study (and photograph) primitive people without disturbing them. Something that would allow us to remain unidentified. Something made for flying silently through the air. Hmmmm... what amazing things we could do with such an object.

"Virtually none"? Isn't that the same as saying "some"? :)
I'm not saying that sunspots cause global warming. I just think that there is not enough data on either side to assume that climate change is caused by humanity. Assuming that the Earth is billions of years old, does data collected from the past 100 years count as statistically significant?

Okay, this bears repeating. Section 107 of the Copyright code (commonly called Fair Use) limits the rights of the author, allowing parts of a copyrighted work to be used without requesting permission.
In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include --
1. the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
2. the nature of the copyrighted work;
3. the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
4. the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
Such circumstances are LIMITED to criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research.
Fair Use is NOT carte blanche to use any amount of a copyrighted work for any amount of time just because you're not making money off of it.
