I know it's in Korean, but was anyone else reminded of (the film) Attack the Gas Station when they read this post? It's a pretty funny look at this group of kids that holds up a gas station "just for fun."

www.kdice.com is a multiplayer version of dice wars, for anyone interested...
it's awesome.
awesomely time-wasting and will eventually lead to me being a perpetual dice military mastermind (and a slacker at work).

I've wanted to try this for so long. :(
The only thing that kills the ideological debate (for me, at least) is knowing that zombies or aliens will--given the opportunity--eat me alive.

The Monome can indeed run the Game of Life, but it's a bit of a work in progess. CreateDigitalMusic (an excellent blog in its own right, btw) is full of great info on the Monome and has been following the Tenori-On very closely.

But then there's the whole issue of the fine print; will the language be similar to UMG's new classical music store that sells 320CBR files but says that "This Content may be owned by [Retailer] or by third parties"?
And furthermore, you can bring into question Wal-Mart's other media related practices, like not carrying CDs that have a "Parental Advisory" sticker on the front.
We can't just be trading one monopoly for another, right? :)
