err.. I just got back from the grocery store here in Kita-Senju (Northwest Tokyo), and there was no shortage of butter. I specifically went out to check this story... Maybe only the big stores? We still have a tub in our fridge, so I'm not worried yet...

Ok, obviously I'm not gonna translate the whole thing, but the gist of the text is:

The writer of the article says that walking into this garage is like stepping back in time. Everything is old, and the garage is very large. The person (Mr. Jalopy) acquires everything he can from garage sales and flea markets. He got his start when his dad died and willed him all of his tools. Mr. Jalopy then needed to fix an old car, and became interested in the tools.

Overall not very interesting text... Hope that helps..
