I hoist my confiscated cigarette lighter in the air to signify agreement with Daryll's thoughts. I, too, was one of those forced at SFO to unload everything--the officer, at least, was nice about it, and even at the time he said it was something we had to do "today," implying it wasn't going to be a regular thing. I'm glad the TSA is paying some attention about what seems to be a loose-cannon situation. On the other hand, I do wish the local TSA airport offices weren't so loose about sacrificing my time when they don't have a good security reason to so inconvenience me.
