Faked or poorly identified artifacts are unfortunately rather common - take the Jesus Ossuary or the "pre-Columbian" crystal skulls for instance. This thing has not only at least 10 symbols from Linear A, but also other languages from other times and places including Linear B, Proto-Ionian, Anatolian, Semitic and Indo-European among others.

It only took about a half dozen Demolay meetings for me to realize how truly bizarre this stuff was. Aside from dictating a weird regimental pagan/christian mishmash of woo on you, it requires you to memorize TONS of crap in order to work your way up the ladder. Even more nuts than conventional religions.

But for some relatively minor technical and media differences, it's the same damned idea, big close-up heads with some pastiche of pointillism/halftone, only less interesting. You can throw a smidgen of Close and Warhol and a dash of Serge Leone into the stew too, for that matter - also more interesting.

If I went to all that cosmetic effort on a custom, I sure as heck would have media blasted the interior rust out of there and sealed it up. How long before that cancer starts nibbling through someplace and screws up all that work?
