Maybe the first AI will pop into being and tell us all to stop being so paranoid, cynical and critical...and will tell us to "have a coke and a smile and shut the F#$% up!!!"
Dogs that know when their owners are coming home experiment
June 11, 2008 1:49pm
I also have a Pug and can validate the other posters' comments who are Pug owners too.
My pug always knows when someone is coming home but since we come home from work at the same times each day I wonder if she is just anticipating homecoming because of her own judgment of time.
It's my belief that dog's "feel" time and she "feels" when its the time we are supposed to come home.
Office worker flips out (security video)
June 4, 2008 12:22pm
Obviously fake.
1. The lack of cords of any kind near the monitors 2. the fact that the focal point of the action is directly center.
3. I would argue people's reactions would be more chaotic and a very large percentage of people would leave the office, not stick around
National Geographic on the real fake crystal skulls
May 27, 2008 8:58pm
From the DOCUs I have seen and reading I have done, the interesting thing about these skulls is not that they are "pre" anything but that the creation of the skulls cannot be explained or emulated even with today's technology. Thus, leading people to speculate that the skulls are alien or from a lost, advanced civilization in origin.
Children's book about plastic surgery

@Cowicide
I never stated anyone should review or comment on this doctor's qualifications as a surgeon. There is nothing illegal in writing opinions on someone's work as an "author". The websites anyone can post reviews on have the opportunity and right to reject and/or delete posts as they see fit. Also, the doctor has the right to petition any site to have negative information retracted.
To be clear, I am advising everyone to go to any procedure/surgical site and leave negative reviews of this doctor's new book or simply leave your opinion on the book's subject matter.
Nothing wrong with that.

Incredible Epcot concept painting
March 29, 2008 9:57pm
Most people dont know that the Disney Imagineers (including the painter of this marvelous work) actually occupied an office towards the top of the EPCOT sphere. My ex's dad worked there and used to tell me amazing stories..back in the day when Disney was about being creative and not about money (reminiscent to where Pixar is today)
Fingertip biometrics at Disney turnstiles: the Mouse does its bit for the police state
March 15, 2008 12:04pm
Disney had the biometric readers planned long before the events of September 11th.
Having worked at Disney and knowing several people who work there and are "insiders" in the corporate ranks i will say that the readers have nothing to do with "security" and everything to do with marketing.
Disney uses the readers to capture information on who is coming to parks at what times, what days, etc. They track age, gender, native/non-native to Florida, how much you spend on average, etc.
Many don't know but Disney instituted an economic plan years ago where, in summary, each year specific areas of the parks MUST increase each year by a certain percentage. The bio readers are just Disney's attempt to assist them in maintaining their marketing goals.
No friends yet.

Having lived in Orlando and worked at Disney for a number of years I can say that AC is in the absolute worst place it could possibly be. It's right next to what was once the BET club and is buried in the lights and hustle of Pleasure Island.
I hope they do move it. We always enjoyed going there but PI just wasn't the right location for this attraction. I dont ever remember going there when I wasnt drunk after going "door-to-door" to the other themed bars/clubs in PI.
AC should be experienced with full faculties intact.
