Worst food in America: Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing
February 11, 2008 9:39pm
How many places did they go to before handing the title of "worst food ever" to this plate of cheese fries? For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure every suburban restaurant chain out there - Applebee's, Shari's, Denny's, Chili's, etc. - ALL OF THEM have versions that are this or worse.
Doesn't Texas have chicken-fried bacon? That comes with sausage gravy to dip it in? What about those burgers that come with 2 meat patties the size of your face, ham, egg, bacon, cheese, AND mayo?
Come on, Men's Health. Get out there and do some real digging!
Bill to ban restaurants serving obese people
February 5, 2008 7:58pm
A) Over-eating is considerably NOT the only cause of obesity
B) Fatness is, as has been said in previous responses, very subjective. I put myself as an example: I'm a woman, size 12 - some have said I'm average weight, some have said I'm a couple notches above average weight, and some have called me outright fat. So my ability to order a sandwich for lunch would be dependent on who's looking at me from behind the counter that day?
C) Way to screw off on the job, John! You've certainly proven a point: You should never have been elected.
D) Oregon! Woo!
Florida school board approves McDonald's report-cards and school-bus audio ads
January 19, 2008 4:34pm
I am not an 'uppity parent,' but you can bet I would be an 'uppity concerned citizen' if I found out the public schools in my area were pushing ads for junk food down the throats of neighborhood kids *as an implied reward for doing well in school*. That's god-damned ridiculous. Commercial advertising should be in the same boat as prayer: useful to some, but it should have absolutely NO PLACE in public schools, where most of our population is required to spend its formative years.

Oh, $60 for a bunch of cardboard! Yes, that's totally something I need to spend my free money on. Cardboard legos.
