"Plato's Stepchildren" has got to be one of the best Star Trek episodes of all time! first black on white interracial kiss (kirk and uhuru) spock crying and laughing uncontrollably, kirk acting like a pony while a midget rides him around a rooom... what more could you possibly ask for??

well, regardless of thier current instabilities and dubious long-term commitments to medium-term US policy goals, they can't be much worse then the relatively unknown mujahedin we supported aginst the soviets for like goals. or, say, the young, ambitious and relatively unknown saddam hussein we supported against the iranians for like goals.

glad someone mentioned "The Third Wave", Nick D. - it's my favorite of Toffler's works. so many interesting things were reflected on or theorized about in it. it's a bit harder to find on the street than "Future Shock", i'd imagine.
