I checked out the comments section just to see how many other folks thought about "Lil Dot" from the old Harvey comics. Guess I'm getting old. Anyway, Dot was a little girl who had but one fixation...dots. Reality imitating low-brow art to create highbrow art.

What? No mention of Bruce Roberts of "The Gemstone File" infamy? He was making rubies supposedly back in the 70's which he leveraged to gain choice bits for his conspiracy opus.
New book about Wacky Packages

I've still got a bunch of these in their perforated rectangular perfection. Probably 50-60 in a ziploc bag that also holds all my batman bubblegum cards from the 60's.
When I looked at them a year or two ago they still shone with subversive quality. I may need to peruse this book within a bookstore to determine how much of the series I have.
List of psychotronic videos available at Internet Archive

For what it's worth, the image shows the cover for "The Psychotronic Video Guide." That's the follow up to "The Psychotronic Encyclopedia." There's virtually no repeat films between the two. The encyclopedia came out first, so pretty much any classic prior to the early 80's is in there. The video guide has a deeper mining of the earlier stuff, as well as any films release since the prior version. Both are out of print, and relatively expensive as I found out trying to buy a copy of each for a friend. Glad I got mine when they came out.
No friends yet.

Though I picked up 2112 on vinyl in 77 while a nerdy freshman snowbound in an engineering school in northern ny, I'm sad to say it wasn't until this July that I actually went to see Rush live in Saratoga NY. I'm always afraid to see musical idols during their 'old fart' days, but Rush seemed to be at the top of their game. They were amazing musicians, but also disarmingly down to earth. The end times took a break with the whole audience singing along with Freewill, Tom Sawyer, and other songs and the place had a great vibe. I took my 13 year old as his first 'real' rock concert, who wasn't a Rush fan going in. He was one going out.
Be cool or be cast out...
