I can see however, that this is somewhat consistent with how we "own" print books. When I buy a print book, I own the medium, but not the content. Granted, the content is permanently (sort of) printed in the medium, but I can never "own" someone else's writing. I do think however, that you should at least be free to sell, gift, or trade your content at will, just as you would printed books.

I would much rather see people adopt foster children in the states than spend anything adopting anyone from anywhere. In my home state of Oregon, there are typically 4000 children available for adoption at any given time... The state not only pays the adoption fees and the home study, they will also pay monthly support and health care if needed. I don't understand why people think they need to go to a third world country to adopt in order to feel like they are doing something good for a child.
