Office worker flips out (security video)
June 4, 2008 10:09pm
Super fake. This video is more about testing what are we able to believe from video evidence, maybe pushing it a little bit there, no? Still, a very good video. Any anger movies coming out? Hulk maybe???
1-Monitor on the bottom left has a webcam on. Also the image is mirrored horizontally. Check it out for yourself. Doesn't seem to be a very video-conferencing-friendly place to be.
2-Skinny guy with the cell phone comes from nowhere into the room just to film the thing? Yeah right. There's another filming geek on the back and what seems to be someone taking pics at the end.
3-Short guy overpowering mad guy and throwing him off backwards while wrestling with the lamppost/ crowbar/ axe thing? Doesn't look like a natural throw.
4-Work desks' walls aren't screwed? And this guy just torns everything on his path?
Maximo: "queen" of Mexican wrestling
April 14, 2008 2:06pm
Yeah. well it's a know fact that Jack Black came to Fray Tormenta (Pastor Storm) to talk to him and make a donation to his orphanate. Fray Tormenta's story is pretty much the same one in Nacho Libre without the weird parts: A Catholic Pastor fights in the Arena to get money for the orphans.
I uploaded some photos with Maximo and a small furry fighting alongside:

Maximo: "queen" of Mexican wrestling
April 14, 2008 1:12pm
I read the article and there is a lot of things that aren't obvious about mexican wrestling:
There are two main categories: rudos (dirty or cheating) and técnicos (clean or fair) fighters. The often portray the good vs. evil struggle, and use names like "Infernal", "Evil Dogs", "Angel" or "Mystic" to name a few.
Inside these categories you can find subcategories, like exotic fighters (portraying queer like behavior, not necesarily being gay in real life); dwarfs versions of average-height fighters, superheroes and Furries. (yes, furries).
There's even a fighter that uses a Donkey suit, a look-a-like of the Shrek's movie character.

I just love this phrase:
But their whole idea behind ‘going public’ was to “pull a Radiohead… (...)"
So, can you pull a Radiohead without pulling a Homer?
Japanese military: "Towards the realization of Gundam"
November 14, 2007 2:07pm
I thought Japan couldn't have an armed military since WWII and only had army-like corps for emergency deployment and humanitarian support.
Wouldn't surprise me if anime series turns out to be a new class of futurist references, the kind that Arthur C. Clarke is. After all, the authors tend to be well documented and realistic in their work.

These are great and I love to copied characters from other sources. So far I saw the ET character, a bloddy darth vadder, The Hulk and The Thing (from Fantastic Four) depicted in these trading cards.
