Gallery of retro German cameras, sawn-in-half

I think the cops that picked you up were leather boys in disguise. Clearly your beer goggles were in full effect.

Also, it turns out the horse stairs lead down to a Catherine the Great exhibit (not true).

Boing Boing Gadgets presents X-Maple pixel-flutter reduction block for PCIe

June 24, 2008 8:27am

Since buying this product I have become attractive to girls. In fact, I can't beat them off with a stick (and believe me, I have tried. It's tiring on the arms).

I can't recommend it more. The danceablity of the wood grain alone is worth the price.

Fake branded pens designed to upset freeloading pen-borrowers

June 19, 2008 1:28am

What about some kind of nasty looking stain printed on there?

Coupled with Mazerrackham's "Rectal Thermometer", that should do the trick.

Fancy fly swatter probes the very nature of insect consciousness

I squash them and then leave them on the window as a warning to others.

I hate those little fuckers...

iPhone hidden in a Moleskine

June 13, 2008 5:44am

Of course I read this! And thanks.

Does Sennheiser use this cardboard packaging? (If they don't, they should)

June 6, 2008 9:33am

Those blister packs are the DRM of physical goods. Only the honest people are affected. Shoplifters carry box cutters and open them up in a faraway corner of the shop in a couple seconds.

New Yorkers: Make your own cigarettes for less than $10 a pack.

I'm all for "hand rolling". But only when unobserved. Clear your cache afterward.

Smoker? Wired has gadgets to help you get by

June 4, 2008 11:26am

Vanity compels me to tell you that the second link is broken *cough*

Doctor Who uses Mac keyboards 50,000 years in the future

June 4, 2008 11:22am

Still, 3,000 years isn't bad for a keyboard. And yes, it's a BitTorrented file enjoying the loving caresses of VLC. God bless those French schoolchildren who made it. Without them, I would have to endure my exile in foreign lands without the good Doctor.

From Schlub to Superhero in only 5 gadget purchases

May 24, 2008 12:11pm

OK, I admit it. I miscounted. But the official line is that the fifth gadget was invisibility. OK?

Puma Disc Blaze Tetris sneakers are gorgeously awful

May 21, 2008 8:06am

I would totally buy them in a different color. But these look like a 1980s hair gel pack.

What else to expect from WWDC besides the 3G iPhone?

May 19, 2008 3:02am

I'll be ordering a MacBook Pro the day of the WWDC. My MacBook isn't enough for me anymore (plus my girlfriend steals it constantly). If Steve gives us a new model, great. If not, I'll be going for the current one.

Maybe it won't be so different. The PowerMac line also looks the same as it has for years and that doesn't look like changing any time soon. And thanks for the link, John!

Looking at my breasts? It's time for a diet.

Epic USB duplicator burns 60 thumbdrives at once: what would you copy?

April 30, 2008 4:33am

I'd use it to bulk-erase all the crap left on my tradeshow swag thumbdrives.

Nokia's new boringphones are "beautiful to use"

April 28, 2008 6:56am

I was skipping stones on the scenic Devonshire sea this weekend, so I can tell you with authority that both the the 6600 and 3600 would be "Beautiful to skip on scenic lakes".

Top Nosh cafe in London (defunct)

January 15, 2008 4:21am

You know that "Nosh" is also a slang term for "Blowjob"? One wonders what might have gone on upstairs.

R2-D2 Pepper Mill

October 12, 2007 3:26am

Pepper mills have steel grinders. Salt mills have non-rusting plastic, so it mightn't be a good idea to use one of these for salt.
