Can't forget about a-ha in the Norwegian circle. Also, trolls have to be on the map somewhere.

Photo of extension cord in swimming pool

My parents house flooded a few years ago and I discovered it when they were on vacation. I took my shoes off and walked around the house barefoot to inspect the damage. That is, until I noticed steam rising from under the sofa. I then remembered they had two electrical outlets in the floor. The steam I saw was the water in the outlet boiling. I immediately went outside and flipped the main breaker to the house.

So, I'm not sure that the power strip in the pool would cause electrocution even if it did fall in the water. It seems the risk depends on the potential of the body relative to the conductor. I think it simply depends on what you are touching at the moment. Either way, it isn't wise and I think the number of bottles by the grill are a factor.

Spoiled teenage pageant princess

I think that its an exaggeration of the truth. Maybe she isn't THAT bad, but it is evident she is a spoiled brat.

Either way, the reason she is this way is because her parents are enabling her. They can't say no and have no concept of appropriate boundaries.

If they did, they wouldn't have agreed to do the show. So, the fact they're on the show is proof they are screwed up.

Wikiffiti -- stickers that read [citation needed]

I immediately recognized the Navarro sign. Too bad the sticker isn't bigger so it can be read from a moving car. You're making Tempe a better place to live. [citation needed].

Schoolteacher in Sudan on trial for naming teddy bear Muhammad

I've always felt that people in this country have a gross misunderstanding of the term "freedom of speech". It simply means we can say what we want. It doesn't imply that we have freedom from the consequences of our words and actions. It is the understanding and acceptance of this "freedom of speech" ideal that minimizes the consequences. However, this freedom is not guaranteed.

Boo to the Sudanese for imprisoning a woman with completely innocent intentions.

Cheap billionaires

He's displaying both a poverty and Depression mentality. You can see it in many of the elderly. They stash everything away, even if they are extremely successful. They put everything away for a "rainy day" and deny themselves simply pleasures.

Who in their right mind would live in poverty with an unlimited supply of wealth? I believe he is stashing money away because he's afraid of what might happen if he doesn't. Not to mention, he gets attention by "living like the common man".

There's a fine line between living comfortably/frugally and simply being cheap. Seriously, a billionaire that drives a '93 Volvo and furnishes his own house with Ikea furniture has issues. Not to mention, he's not exactly the key Ikea demographic.
