Medical transcriptionist melts keyboard with fingertips

One simple and so far overlooked explanation as to why m and n have degraded so badly could be that those keys just weren't created equal. Spent a summer working at a plastics factory (third shift, depressing as hell, another story) and can vouch for the fact that you don't always get uniformity with such things.
Possible at least.

pH definitely plays a part. My laptop, below the keyboard and a portion of the (plastic) steering wheel in my car have lost their coloring where I rest my right palm the most. And don't even get me started about what happens to the backs of cheap watches I buy...

I always thought that was the great thing about visual art-- that it could act as a catalyst for your own imagination. You see a man on a horse, riding frantically up an incline. Other horsemen are -- following? Chasing? You chose one. Then you answer the question 'why?'
That's where stories get born.
Sure it says something about your psyche. But it might just as well say something about what you had for breakfast or the show you saw last night where this guy was charging up a hill..

At first glance I read The Pointess Museum as the Pointless Museum.

Shepard Fairey's Obama poster

@22-
If you say you work for progressive campaigns, I won't argue. Though I notice you don't say liberal, or even Democratic campaigns.
To quote Niels Bohr, an expert is someone who knows some of the worst mistakes which can be made in a very narrow field. Trying to tie this poster's design to the 'culture wars', the Cultural Revolution or Stalinist communism seems to fit the description.
There's no such thing as a dead-end state. Not this election cycle at least. There are, however, dead end voters. The ones who will never vote for a black man, period. The ones who will never vote for a woman, period. The ones who will never vote for a Democrat, period. In short, the ones who are afraid of Liberals "coming to your home soon to take your bibles and guns and re-educate you."
The whole gist of your post was that Obama mustn't upset this core Republican constituency or give them a reason not to vote for him. The whole point of my post is that they aren't going to vote for him, ever. I grew up in the buckle of the frigging Bible belt. I know my people, sad to say.
"...will a well informed consultant toss this in a Oppo file for some point when it may be pertinent? Yes."
Maybe so, but it will never *be* pertinent. That's my whole point.

#19: "...problematic for the campaigns message of one nation and unity given the the Right is already overly concerned about the culture wars..."
This comment has so many problems, I hardly know where to begin.
1) Anyone so rabidly right-wing as to believe that Democrats are going to take away their 'guns and bibles' is very unlikely to have the liberal arts education that would allow them to make a connection between this poster and Mao or Stalin.
2)As if they wouldn't find any/every excuse to villify Democrats anyway.
3)As if Democrats should concern themselves with what the dead enders think of them.
4)Finally, as if anyone should pay attention to such a concern-troll comment.

Not quite factually correct, that post. In still #2 she's a snail. Slugs and snails are hermaphrodites with both male and female sexual organs. When they mate, each snail will fertilise the other, and each snail will then produce offpsring.
That said, yes, she's a durty, durty girl.

From Wikipeida: "Unlike Theistic Satanism, which is rejected by the Church of Satan as Christian heresy rather than Satanism, it [LaVeyan Satanism] does not literally worship Satan, but rather uses "Satan" as a symbol for people's natural inner desires."

Takuan, just my opinion, but when you try to steer a conversation towards a predetermined if worthy outcome, the *best* you can hope for is a bunch of politically correct lip service masking the antipathy of the prodded.
Is racism bad? Of course it is. Is this coded racist speach bad? Of course it is. Nobody who's posted so far has said anything to the contrary.
Does every poster have to explicitly acknowledge these facts? No. No they don't.
