After reading comments detailing the kerfuffle over the introduction of these windows mobile thingys....and after feeling so disappointed with Boing Boing over the handling of the whole fiasco....I'd just like to say thanks for your brilliant sense of irony Joel, you're good for a chuckle, as always!

I definitely think this hat is inspired by the Philip Pullman Northern Lights book character, Lee Scoresby.

Come to think of it, there is allot of steampunk contraptions in those books....hmmmm

We have one of these in our office....it's definitely a fun concept, I know my first question when I started was something to do with somebody farting nearby.....

That aside, they seem to be pretty crap, really expensive, really really loud when their operating and it breaks down alllll the time.

Also apparently the water that it creates is highly oxygenated which is apparently good for you.....hmmmm

All up, it's a big thumbs down and now sits derelict in our office lunchroom :(

So, I'm pretty sure that when this happened a few months ago the Aussie media were reporting that it was more or less an accident....these guys were fighting in a bar (possibly together, against some other dudes) and through some bizarre turn of events, otherwise known as an accident...dude ended up with a chair through his head.

I guess what I'm trying to say....is that it wasn't done maliciously and hence forgiveness is allot easier...especially considering how lucky the chair face guy really was.

I think that Heima represents an amazing progression for a band that is probably one of the most unique and powerful bands to be discovered.
Apart from everything about the music, the video clips for their songs are some of the most remarkable clips I have ever seen....and dare I say it....even rival the UNKLE/Thom Yorke Rabbit in Your Headlights clip.
There is another documentary from 2002 which Sigur Ros did the soundtrack for "hlemmur" http://sigur-ros.co.uk/band/disco/hlemmur.php

the best thing about this band.....is how exciting their future is & the possibilities they are yet to bring the world.
