It's kind of crummy that this "YouTube video" is actually a link to BBGadgets. I know you need the traffic, but why make me click twice? At least take the YouTube logo off the promo graphic.

One of the timepieces used in the article may be obsolete, but it's not ready for the trash. That beautiful Seiko m354 is the watch that James Bond wore in "Moonraker".

I'd rather spend 10 bucks on a battery to get that m354 running again than cover in in fluorescent spray paint. This project is just too trashy for me.

Sadly, today we "protect" our kids from toys that fling metal balls through the air.

I think this video isn't a commercial, but some sort of marketing promotion video.

My favorite movie. The first item I ever purchased off the Internet was a VHS tape of RPABB, from Sinister Cinema (this was in 1997 I think).

I think that this technology is inevitable as we progress towards driverless cars. Another feature I think it needs: The line can be green if the driver is obeying the traffic laws, and morph to red if the driver is speeding, passing on the right, etc. Tied into local traffic reports, it could aid in reducing traffic congestion.

Amazing to me is that this public spectacle happened only 105 years ago. We've come a long way both socially and technologically (and still have a long journey ahead).

I have never used a Soviet phone handset, but maybe these bluetooth handset mods can be more than just novelty items. The ergonomics of my 1960's Bell System telephone handset are far superior to my wireless phone.
