Videos of people smoking salvia divinorum

January 24, 2008 5:02pm

if you check it out on youtube, you'll find some videos of what looks to be some bad trips. clearly this isn't a party drug, and seems best when taken in a quiet environment with someone watching over you and just letting you have your trip. and like acid, it isn't for everyone and can be really intense and unpredictable. so if you decide to try it out, just be careful.

and as has previously been mentioned, posting about it and uploading videos of the experience to youtube isn't going to help keep it legal.

Incredible handmade orrery

January 23, 2008 4:57pm

I try. And I'm going to assume you meant good name, and not good game...? And while I am indeed a Mac user, it also is my first name. And a good one as you said. Glad you enjoyed the joke!

Make a secret compartment book

December 7, 2007 2:33pm

yeah dave x...making stuff (even simple stuff) just isn't my thing. i was one of those kids who colored outside of the lines, even when i was trying desperately not to.

put me on stage in front of a crowd and i'll be just fine. put me in front of a hammer and nails, and i'll be in the hospital in under an hour.

put me in front of a pretty girl, and i'll feign death until she walks away. how are you supposed to talk to those things anyway?

Make a secret compartment book

December 7, 2007 12:31pm

i've always wondered how to do this. (you'd think i would've figured something out on my own because it's incredibly simple...but i'm just not a technical thinker that way. however, you need a daydream story about a go-kart made of jello....i'm your man).

so, thanks for posting this....very cool. and since i tend to be a cheap (but honest and lovable) bastard around the holidays, this has come at just the right time as i hadn't started my shopping yet. and now, i won't need to.

Mister Jalopy's Garage

November 8, 2007 11:13am

as someone who has never heard of mister jalopy, this episode doesn't really do a great job of filling me in. from my standpoint, it's a short (almost non-existent) interview with a guy in his garage, which contains a motor that doesn't run, a leather-belt driven tool and a radio that plays itunes. i know the focus is on his garage more than miser jalopy, but it'd be nice to have at least a little exposition of who this guy is, and why i'm watching him. i love boingboing tv...it's just that it seems less like tv, and more like a youtube video clip.

Star Trek themed ash urns and caskets

November 2, 2007 11:16am

wait wait....photon torpedoes are in star trek AND star wars? no, no...that can't be right....star wars happened a long, long time ago...and star trek is in the future. and plus, star trek isn't cool. so how could they have proton torpedoes? my world is crumbling around me.

Daniel Pinchbeck video

October 19, 2007 3:18pm

isn't there always someone who finds themself on the eye of the public eye, claiming we're on the verge or cusp of a new age of enlightenment or conciousness?

and if it's so important, and we should all be aware, couldn't we get some better computer animation to help the process?

Ronald Jenkees; Hello YouTubes, have you heard my SICK beats?

September 5, 2007 9:24am

it's refreshing to see someone so genuinely appreciative of the support form web viewers and cd buyers. even if it's an act, i can't help but believe that he truly does feel that way.

ronald jenkees is the new weird al. someone needs to start a wikipedia article on this kid.
