MobileMe and Gmail: Pick one or expect frustration

July 15, 2008 12:34pm

Now I'm syncing back to Flickr from the iPhone manually by importing the pictures through iTunes to iPhoto, then manually uploading the ones I want to share.

jesus, dude, that's ridiculous. why aren't you just uploading through email like everyone else?

What else to expect from WWDC besides the 3G iPhone?

May 16, 2008 1:42pm

I love my 2006 MBP a lot, I'd only really like it to be thinner and lighter, run cooler and have a better screen. If they go and change the keyboard to match the one on the Air, I will be PISSED—no Chiclet keys, please!

Pinkberry's "natural" desserts are made of toxic labratory gunk

April 23, 2008 4:34pm

i eat pinkberry as a special treat, and when i do i heap a mound of cap'n crunch on top, so even if pinkberry's ingredients were actually "toxic labratory gunk" (which as WatchfulBabbler points out, they're actually not), i still wouldn't be losing any sleep over it. most everything is okay in moderation, especially things that taste really good!

these are really lovely, thank you for sharing.

Yeti hoodie and more

March 17, 2008 3:40pm

i love Gama-Go's designs for men but unfortunately their products for women are lame—the awesome yeti designs never make it onto women's shirts and hoodies, and i deserve better than paying $$$ for men's clothing that won't fit my boobs and hips right.

Unit Dunn Visits Robot Village, New York's Robot Store

January 31, 2008 2:36pm

I used to live in the neighborhood when they opened and paid them a visit, I was totally convinced they wouldn't last the year because they're in a basement space on a street with no real foot traffic. Glad to be proven wrong!

"I Love My Electric Appliance!" Vintage Advertisements

January 31, 2008 2:33pm

I would love to see ads like this for the Nintendo Wii or, say, an awesome vibrator.

Canon Rebel XSi: Great New Entry Level DSLR

January 24, 2008 1:53pm

I love my XTi, which I bought without the kit lens, and one of my favorite things about it is actually the lack of live view—sometimes it forces me to be more mindful of what I am shooting, sometimes it lets me be more spontaneous by not being able to confirm that everything is perfectly composed all the time.

Random Thought on Wiimote and Remote Sex

January 9, 2008 11:32am

Joel, you will never know how disappointed I was to visit the ITP Winter Show and not see any Wii sex toys. I was expecting to see something along the lines of your post, because it always seemed so obvious to me! Alas. Maybe the Spring Show will be more promising.

P.S. It would be great if player one was getting vibrating feedback of some sort from the Wiimote, but even better if player two's Wiimote was, well, responding too.

until there's some sort of haptic feedback beyond the vibrating Wiichucks (which is really only of use to those who get their jollies by something that can be stuck inside them)

License Farm, have you ever even talked to a woman? Things that vibrate get us off just fine, and they don't have to be inserted anywhere. Please to be googling Jane Pinckard and Rez.

Knock-Off Consoles Take Real Game Cartridges

January 9, 2008 11:26am

At some point in the late 80s, my favorite uncle fried two of my Famicoms in a row by plugging them into a 220 outlet. The third time I decided to spend my money on a Famicom clone—it was a stylish dark grey with rounded corners, and the controllers were easier on my hands.

This page has a list of 366 Famiclones (I am too lazy to browse through and find the one I had though):

The Wikipedia page on Famiclones is pretty great:

Scooter from Old Appliances Complete, Dubbed "Quicksilver"

January 7, 2008 3:56pm

Shanghai adver-barge

December 17, 2007 10:18pm

If you watched the trashy awesomeness that is America's Next Top Model, you would've seen this three weeks ago! They used it on there to announce the winner of a big prize, which was pretty neat. I guess it's a good thing most of NYC does not have good views of the East and Hudson rivers or they'd have been full of these things a long time ago.
