PLEASE tell me this shot glass they are talking about is a paper cup that will get tossed after the coffee monkey TASTES the drink? Or are they just making it easier for them to spit in our drinks now?

Oldest accurate "road map" of Britain

There is now a Wikipedia article...I *heart* boingboing readers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gough_Map
It was started with an edit summary of "Cory Doctorow told me to make this page"
Doombuggies.com's 10th anniversary Haunted Mansion bash: a swinging wake for Mansion trufans
January 24, 2008 4:13pm
Miles: Aside from Cory being a hardcore Disney park fan, one of his novels, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom was based mostly around the Haunted Mansion.
And Disneyland rocks :)
Jon Santos's Houndstooth Dogtent
January 18, 2008 10:39am
Louie does not look impressed at the efforts that have gone into his comfort...he says "you stay in the tent, I'll be on the couch with a bone and some sexy girl dog action on Animal Planet"
Splayed angelic pigeon wings
January 7, 2008 9:44am
But the question is, was there another falcon standing by with his cell phone filming the happy slapping of this pigeon?
Mickey burgers
January 6, 2008 12:32am
I am wondering when they will come out with mouse buns and mouse shaped cheese and then you need a mouse cookie cutter so that you can have mouse lettuce and tomato too!

Just a data point, in the first 30 messages (which appears to be where you added the update saying you removed the vid)
14 comments reference the Divx vid
11 are against it
1 says Its not that bad
2 are you defending your choice.
But you still choose to call us out and say WE are being unreasonable instead of just changing the link without blaming your readers? Wow...never thought I'd see the day when boing boing jumped the shark
New Jersey to block sex offenders from internet, computer use
December 28, 2007 6:38pm
as long as the guy that takes a leak behind a dumpster is on the same list as the guy that sodomizes a toddler, the sex offender registry will be a joke.
I also agree that if the state things you are a risk, you should still be in jail...can't have it both ways...either you are a danger or you aren't.
Disney lawyers enstupidize ride with dumb legal disclaimer
November 20, 2007 6:12pm
What if its to prevent asshats from sending a joke and then suing Disney to pay them for using the joke? Why does it always have to be corporate asshattery instead of just corporate CYAing?

FEMA workers play role of reporters
October 26, 2007 2:51pm
What really surprises me about this current disaster is that we still trust the Red Cross...they proved they couldn't be trusted with the money donated for 9/11, they proved they couldn't be trusted with the Katrina money...so WHY are people still running to give them money to pay their 6 figure salaries? Your money would be just as well spent if you drove up to the fire area and pitched the money at a burning tree.

You know that annoying neighbor? The one with the loud parties and the trash all over the yard and the dog barking all night long? The one you call the cops on again and again and again and again? ASBOs are about getting rid of this sort of person who isn't technically arrestable, but needs to have SOMETHING done. This guy seems to gloss over that fact.
My parents had a flat in one of the council estates that were partly still council and partly privately owned. One of the kids was completely uncontrolled, carving his name in people's front doors, breaking doorbells and mailboxes just because he could, peeing anywhere he wanted to, spray paint in the stairways. The family was warned several times and then the council used an ASBO to remove them. Its not capricious, its not instant, it has to go through the same convoluted burocracy as anything else, but it certainly makes life a little nicer when they are issued.

I sure hope they find him so they can bill him for the search...he wasn't required to file a flight plan, but you'd think the idiot would at least TELL SOMEONE at home where he was going to go looking...and Steve? Bonneville Salt Flats...someone with your intelligence shouldn't be trying to reinvent the wheel.

A lot of restaurants would dearly LOVE to Second Harvest their stuff...however because this country loves to support their lawyers, they can't. If FancyPants Cafe donates the 40 gallons of soup to the soup kitchen, and one person gets sick, FancyPants Cafe goes out of business because they get sued.
It sucks...you should see the amount of food we wasted when I was in Culinary School...we couldn't even cook in our kitchens to take over to the shelter, we had to go there to cook.
