Woman who couldn't stop itching
June 27, 2008 7:04am
Wow.
Another good reason not to do heroin (aside from the possibility of getting nasty stuff like Hep and HIV from needles) is that most of it is bullshit and not truly diacetylmorphine, but rather chock full of codeine compounds that will make one itch like a madman, yet lack the self awareness to stop scratching before ripping big holes in one's self.

There is a really awesome charger-holder in Real Simple this month. It's yellow, and is basically a little horizontal shelf that you place the item-being-charged on (like your cellphone), then wrap the excess cord around part of it, then there is a round hole on the vertical part that you put the plug through so it hangs.
Yeah, hard to picture. I don't have the magazine handy so I can't find a picture online. :)

Forget the poorly crafted cartoon popsicles- meat is a much better medium!
A message from Sugar Information, Inc. -- "She needs sugar in her life."

hmmm.... my box of Domnio white granulated sugar claims only 15 calories per teaspoon!
and I think the message of "don't feed your kids/teenagers artificial sweeteners, they don't need 'em" is quite sound even today.

She said she took 'a painkiller' before the show because of the craps... it was probably opiate based and that's why she threw up.
Function of the appendix found? A good bacteria safehouse.

Well I'm going to stay away from the sketchy river water then... They took my perfectly normal appendix out when I had abdominal surgery as an infant!

Freymann and Elffers have done many books of these food sculptures. And calendars, and postcards, etc. They've been widely available for at least five years, I'm sure even Walmart carrys the calendar. But if it's news to Cory...

Erik Davis on watermarked promotional CDs

Don't you agree to the EULA by USING THE PRODUCT?
Personally I think record labels send out way to many promotional copies- I know the son of a A&R guy for one of the major US labels, and they have a basement FULL of promo discs. They get sent them by the box, with the idea that they be given away. Eventually these things are going to find their way into the used CD market or online. I don't think the labels are overly concerned about the discs being resold in used stores- if it's well after the release date.
But while the whole promo system is ultimately flawed in concept, sending a still unreleased album to a thrift store is careless and disrespectful to a band, not just the label.

I especially love when Little Jazzhands tries to hold the box closed around 1:15.
