Chavez to USA: "Shove your terror list"
March 15, 2008 1:02pm
"Let them make that list and shove it in their pocket"
Awww that's so polite it's almost cute. I can think of an array of orifices that might make better candidates.
8th grade honor student suspended for buying candy from classmate
March 12, 2008 3:32pm
Next week they'll be forced to dispense any fluids from their lunch boxes and take their shoes off before entering the school grounds.
Lego arms-dealer
March 7, 2008 3:42pm
Oooh something that will be loved by parents everywhere. I'll be ordering some for my two-year-old niece momentarily.
Remixing the London police's anti-photographer terrror posters
March 5, 2008 5:28pm
Well, I must add my own two bits as well (or 495,480 bits, depending on just what's meant):
California judge shuts down wikileaks
March 1, 2008 5:22am
Hey! It looks like this judge has a bit'o'brain after all. Wikileaks.org is resolving again, and here's the run-down:

I like that idea. Links in place. I've also set up a subdomain pointing to the appropriate IP address: wikileaks.weirdly.net.
California judge shuts down wikileaks
February 18, 2008 1:02pm
An excellent form of protest here would be for anyone who owns a domain to set up a wikileaks subdomain pointing to that IP address. It's a quick and painless operation if you have access to your own DNS records.
Real estate agents sue Google for links to stories about them
February 8, 2008 6:12pm
I would say that the sheer stupidity of suing a search engine for linking to an article merely adds credibility to the article itself.
Bill to ban restaurants serving obese people
February 5, 2008 4:55pm
HAHAHAHA! The political version of a troll!
Fluxx -- Nomic card game
January 29, 2008 3:29pm
Cool! This sounds much like Mao, a card game my friends and I played addictively in high school. Much like "crazy-eights", but you can't tell anyone the rules (simply penalize for breaking them), and make one up each time you win a round.
Bright lights cause big sneezes
January 16, 2008 3:40pm
It's very interesting that we have such wide array of ideas as to what might cause it. Like Atomische, I always thought it might be a sensitivity to the contracting iris.
Photo of kids on go kart hitching ride on truck in Peru
January 9, 2008 3:00pm
I have to agree with Citizenplain and Landowner on this one. A few other things that jump out:
If they're going fast enough for the background to blur, shouldn't their hair appear to be blowing around? As well as their t-shirts and shoelaces?
Also, I agree that some of the blurring doesn't fit. The mud flap on the back of the truck for instance.
And I seriously doubt a set of little wheels like that could handle that kind of speed.
Still, an interesting picture.
Mall cops flag juicy cars for thieves
December 12, 2007 10:16am
I don't think this will encourage the theft of any conspicuous items. In fact, the presence of these flags would probably reduce it for two reasons. First, it makes the owner aware of the possibility. Also, it makes the potential thief aware that the vehicle may be observed.
