Video of man firing 18 rounds from a pistol in 3 seconds

Yeah, those government cats will pop 19 caps in any ass that dares say we have a gun culture in the UK.

a) "The Government" don't carry guns. Big Brown G-man don't have no shooter.

b) We do have a gun culture in the UK. The countryside is full of posh boys carrying shotguns and blasting anything that moves. We also have gangsters shooting each other in the cities.

Nuviphone: Garmin Announces First Credible iPhone Competitor

This looks nice. Three UK are now pushing HSDPA mobile broadband for £10 a month with a 1GB cap. Personally, all I want to do on a device like this is browse the web and check emails. There is no point in committing to a 2 year contract at £35 per month when all I want is the data not calls.
Three need to start selling the mobile broadband SIMs without modems, so that people have that option. This week I was unable to find a single shop that would sell me one.

Make Fireplace Logs Out of Old Newspaper

On the subject of floating ash and stinky smoke, that is what you get from fast burning loose paper, not compacted bricks.
However, the photo is a con. These particular retailers have just taken a house brick and glued some news paper to the outside. In reality these paper bricks must be made from mashed up paper that has soaked for a good few hours. You need the fibers to loosen, and then reform as it dries. The result is a heavy block, the same weight as wood that burns slowly and cleanly.

Be warned, it's a very messy process with inky water oozing all over the place and buckets full of gloopy paper pulp. It required loads of paper and lots of time, so best done in one big batch.

Aleutia Off-Grid PC: Why Picking the Right Product Image is Important

@Joel: Yeah, I see what you mean, there is more to it than just the one pretty box. They could do with a photo of it in use outdoors, solar panel laid out on the grass and someone happily typing away in their tent.

Come on BB, did you get out of bed the wrong side today. This tiny PC is cool. The lower photo shows everything needed to operate from solar, 12v and mains power. In reality you would only use one power source at a time, so could ditch two of them!

The keyboard is roll up, the monitor fits inside the solar panels wallet and there is a cool little bag for the PC and bits. Grumpy guts!

Eye-Fi: Add Wi-Fi to Any Camera (with SD)

October 30, 2007 10:36am

Not only does this make remote spy cameras very easy to set up, it also provides live access to private photoshoots. Imagine if someone replaced the SD cards in every family members camera, disguising them by peeling off the lable. Such a person would have instant and secret updates of every photo taken withing a few hundred meters of the base station. Bloody perverts!

MiniTISSUE Expanding Washcloth Tablet

Why stop at tissues. How about emergency expanding underpants and socks...
On second thoughts, it would have to be a pretty extreme emergency that required a damp rehydrated pair of underpants in preference to no underpants. ditto for socks. scrub that idea.
