Media Bloggers Association -- who they are (and they aren't "representing blogs" to the Associated Press)

Since when does the AP get to "negotiate" the law? Copyright law is quite clear -- the AP having a meeting with anyone or no one isn't going to change that. AP is way out on their own on this one and needs to back down.

PearBudget -- awesomely simple expense tracking application

It would be nice if I could see the site. Right now I'm at work, which is still on IE6. When I go to the site all I get is a message saying I have to upgrade to IE7 or use Firefox. Fine -- I use Firefox at home. And also fine if you want to require IE7 to use the software. But just to see the site to see if I want to use it? Bad business move.

50 Years of LEGO: Nine Sets I Have Known and Loved

Galaxy Eplorer rocked! I'm looking forward to building it with my daughter.

Did anyone else have the Coast Guard set? That seems to be a bit of a rarity. But it had great pieces for space building! ;-)

So when did Lego jump the shark for you? For me it was when I bought a castle set (don't remember which one -- one of the later ones) and instead of dozens of nice pieces for the walls I got exactly two pre-molded wall pieces.
