This will make the first five mins of "Iron Man" slightly awkward.

Might help "The Ruins" though.

Heavy Metal Parking Lot

March 24, 2008 1:10pm

I agree with #1. Its nice to have a good quality copy of the video, but the extras (and sequels) are pretty bad. Mine was a xmas gift, and I still felt it was a lackluster package.

FCC may do-over Comcast Net Neutrality hearing due to presence of paid Comcastards

February 27, 2008 2:12pm

Is it really necessary to call dudes who are likely just day laborers trying to make a buck goons and whores? Obviously any douchusations should be lobbed at comcast, not the guys they picked up to do their dirty work,

Tom Cruise's Scientology video -- and Gawker's legal battle to host it

January 17, 2008 5:09am

Also i think its funny the mainstream media only picks up on this once someone like gawker has the "balls' to stick up the cots. Don't get me wrong though, i still hate gawker, but kudos!

I had a similar issue when i hosted my friends parody/accurate Scientology children's book he created for a college project:

Electroplankton inventor's new musical instrument

December 28, 2007 12:02pm

There is probably an argument to be made here about how $1200 is actually what something is worth, and our expectations for it to cost less (Im in the $199 range or so) probably wont happen until yamaha kicks in the mass sweatshop scale levels of productions, so it can be at the price us amuricans have grown accustomed to paying for electronic goods.

What would an IPOD cost on a one off or short run basis?

MLB rips off fans who bought DRM videos

November 7, 2007 9:12am

@benny

Considering they posted record revenues this year, I suspect this is the tip of the iceberg to how badly they will treat their fans:

The Sex Pistols and Ron Paul The Tonight Show

At this point with the pistols being on the guitar hero soundtrack, i'd say Ron Paul has the slight edge in Punk points.

Wal-Mart already sending Black Friday price-list cease-and-desists

October 23, 2007 12:27pm

The only thing I could guess is that they do not want a competitor lowballing them on one of the loss leading doorbusters. They could care less what the consumer knows.

Comcast actively blocks P2P traffic

October 19, 2007 10:02am

It would be one thing to block p2p traffic, but it seems on my connection I basically loose access to all net traffic, until I power cycle the modem. Oddly enough I can download p2p data as much as I want, so its killing my ratios on all decent p2p trackers, so its a indeterminate outbound traffic killer.

The good news is the utorrent is already working on a circumvention.

Amazon creates gigantic DRM-free music store!

September 25, 2007 8:46am

Now all amazon has to do is skip the label middle men and allow direct artist accounts so bands can sell their tunes direct. I would rather spend cash on a publicist than to have to pay for my own packaging.
