I dunno. Hang around the Internet for long enough and you get blasé about this kind of thing. Especially once it starts happening to people you know and who are, their blindspot about this one person or thing in their lives apart, rational, intelligent people. I tend to chalk it up to "people do crazy shit on the Internet".
