For inch people, that'd be 13 x 6.5 x 4.5. The tube is supposed to taper though, and I'm sure the measurement includes the cap. I'd say.. it would probably best fit a standard TP roll if you first used 1/4 to 1/2 of the roll from #1's preferred stationary position.

The Washington State Ferries system tracks where and when every ticket was used, so if they connected monthly passes to actual users in some way (say by saving someone's credit card info with the ticket ID, which I'm sure they already do), then WA has a pretty good picture of where and when certain regulars commute. It wouldn't be too difficult to install the same system in other forms of public transportation.

I guess I am the only person so far who saves coins and then builds towers out of them. It's fun, and if you do it right you can count the coinage really quick at the end. Won't work in the US. The shoes go through the same x-ray machine as carry-on bags, and security has no compunction about telling you to remove the shoes from the bag and send both through the machine again. That's what happened to me when I bought a pair of shoes on my last trip.
