The ban on bins in the tube is of course at odds with the fact that they are on buses and trains.
Given that their absence didn't foil the July 2005 bombers I'm not sure why we don't have them back and stop people piling drink cans on escalators and any flat surface.

If your pay as you go oyster is broken it should be noted that they make you fill out a long form and ask for proof of id before they will transfer the money to a new card.
For 50p it certainly wasn't worth it, even before I considered the contradiction in supplying personal information re a pay as you go card.
