Can I put the subscription on my credit card that doesn't exist?

This is shopped. I can tell because of the pixels.

One of the characters in Murder Party (http://imdb.com/title/tt0878695/) was dressed up like these guys. I had no idea it was based on anything until I saw this.

When I first saw this I was really liking the idea. Then I saw it was basically $20.00 for 10 cards. I guess maybe I could reserve them for my 10-20 closest friends and family, but I was really hoping to make something that I could send to everyone.

I don't know about you but I can't spend over $100 on Xmas cards.

Am I the only one not seeing the new boxes on the actual site?

Really? I want to talk to the first person who buys these to increase productivity at work.

According to my calculations Comcast is not blocking BitTorrent traffic. I downloaded something last night and it worked fine. So obviously they are not blocking anything because my single file and connection experience is representative of the whole Comcast network.

Is this the first case of gratuitous PS filter use landing someone in serious trouble?

With something as simple as a black box over his face, he would have never been caught. Obviously it's a good thing he was caught, but still... trying to get fancy with PS doesn't pay.

LOLAnything without pictures is pretty much lost on me. Retarded spelling and grammar by itself is just retarded.

Boing Boing is great because of the content, is it not? Why all the nitpicking over fonts and column widths and the so-called vanilla/bland look of the site?

With a community of this size, they're never gonna please everyone. If you would prefer something different you have several options that don't require everyone else to agree with you:

1. Use a browser (such as Opera) or add-on that allows the user to override page styles.

2. Read BB through the RSS feed in a reader that allows you to customize the content how you want.

Having said that, there are a few small changes that would probably go a long way toward making more people happy:

1. Add a style switcher with options increase/decrease size and switch between serif/sans-serif. These are actually fairly simple to do.

2. Add some default margin to the body so that even at widths narrower than 800 (or whatever it is) the content has some breathing room on the left side.

3. Give the site a liquid layout, with a minimum width on the ad space to allow for whatever size you need. That way people will higher resolutions can get a wider column for the content to fill.

Personally, I really like the redesign.
