looking over this again. I notice this is a very different kind of mixing, (i wont call it averaging anymore)
the strongest facial features of the two seem to have survived more or less intact.
therefore I suspect this character is only going to get uglier as the most extreme aspects of each face are preserved. I (wildly) guess this is a result of the way we are conditioned to recognize faces (which some people can't do btw)

Always assume your tor connection is being watched
do not leave personal information over an open connection (tor exit node|open wifi), do not use insecure mail apps ie GMAIL
as your name and pass can be revealed and abused

i dunno, it seems likely rapid blinking would reduce the effects for the led based systems at least. the patent makes claims of incapacitating nausea at exposures of less than 1 second. although all videos i have seen of the device being tested refute this. supposedly the time it takes to make you unwell is effected by the focus of the beam/pattern across the persons field of vision. if I can get something working. i guess i will let you know. i think i will start by trying out the patterns and timings on a standard projector.

as a plastic people we can pick up a rock and it becomes a tool. I would struggle to present that as a technology 'it is a rock', there is no art, no manufacture.
but as soon as old owen started to chip away at his rock to form an edge, and his tool remained a tool when it was put back on the floor. 'I' would say we had a technology.
i guess this depends on where you draw your lines, but just because a technology is simple by todays standards doesn't make it any less effective or any less of a technology. in fact, to further compound this pulley argument. the mechanism is just as essential in todays worlds of skyscrapers and supertankers as it has ever been, there simply is no alternative and there doesn't need to be. (apart from the arrest mechanism on aircraft carriers, that just strikes me as nutty).
we are unlikely to hear of pulleys in our minutely minded tech news, because the mechanism is ironically too complex for force amplification/redirection in mems devices.
just because its big doesn't mean its not clever.
