Gross, but no more gross than a spider or other crawly. I've never understood the intense fear of roaches, but I also have basically no experience of them.

BTW, on thing I do know is NOT to step on any cockroach you find ... I worked for a demolition company and the labourers would find them and squash them. Bad idea as they tracked the roach eggs home and got infestations!
