Sweet hotel suites
May 20, 2008 7:57pm
The last night of Lollapalooza 2007 I was upgraded to the Rock'N'Roll suite at Hotel Monaco in downtown Chicago.
from their site:
"the Hotel Monaco Chicago invites you to celebrate the rock 'n' roll lifestyle in this one-of-a-kind two-room suite that draws in the fans, including such celebrity guests as James Taylor and Britney Spears. The sitting room features a regal red velvet couch, dramatic zebra-striped carpeting, a display of eight gold records by artists such as the Smashing Pumpkins and the Bare Naked Ladies, and a fully-loaded TouchTunes jukebox, the world's first digital jukebox that stores songs on a computer hard drive.
Dance your way into the bedroom, where you'll discover a Sony 52-disc CD player, an electric guitar and amplifier for your very own jam session. You'll also find 12 original Chicago concert photographs by noted photographer Paul Natkin and framed, autographed handwritten lyrics to John Lennon's songs Nowhere Man and Day Tripper. The luxurious bathroom features a two-person sunken Jacuzzi tub."
There was also a tv 'thrown' through a fake window that hung in front one of the real windows. A lot of Rolling Stones memorabilia too.
Hoping to stay at this killer Guatemalan hotel this weekend! It's perched over Lake Atitlan, which Aldous Huxley called "the most beautiful lake in the world."

Does Freddy's Frozen Custard still exist in Mequon? It was basically like Kopps.
#9 I would say Mequon is 10 miles north of Milwaukee, close enough.

Awesome, I was a founding member of the Miami group, Tree-0-5 (305 is our area code).
Kevitity, it's usually run-down urban lots that are full of weeds, stones, garbage, etc. Planting trees and flowers there is doing no harm. We also try to strictly use native plants.
