What is on Keith's tongue?

IT'S NOT A TOOMAH! /Arnold

I don't have these, but I wish I did. I'm in favor of any trait that makes me more squidish.

Boing Boing t-shirts by Coop: still some left!

May 6, 2008 11:37pm

I like mine, and wear it a lot. My girlfriend, on the other hand, really hates it.

The joy of looking at the Ballantine's Ale logo

February 18, 2008 11:29am

Oh, wow. I've seen that sort of design before, but never realized the rings were unlinked but inseparable.

50 Years of LEGO: Nine Sets I Have Known and Loved

That pirate ship was $110?? I had one too, and I can't imagine my parents spending that kind of cash. Jeez.

No, no, it works, IVAN256. That's what I'm imagining about the artist who created the cartoon above.

Meanwhile, I'm pondering the difference in connotation between "schoolgirl pedestrians" and "pedestrian schoolgirls."

Web site converts photos to vectors

November 21, 2007 2:56pm

I recently used this to take a puny little .gif of a logo and turn it into a usable asset for an After Effects animation. Neat stuff.

Poker bots could destroy online poker playing

Japanese women could be "safer" at night by wearing vending-machine disguises

October 20, 2007 10:21am

I can't help but have the image of a wannabe criminal looking around confusedly as a vending machine tip-toes past behind him, like a cartoon character disguised as a tree.

Radiohead downloads were just a tactic to boost CD sales?

October 19, 2007 9:35pm

Count me as wondering what the problem is. Of course it was an act of promotion.

Old power plant looks good, new one looks bad

October 11, 2007 7:44pm

Sure, the modern one is more efficient, but why not package it in a beautiful building?

What 5000! said. Why waste resources/energy/money building a pretty shell around a perfectly functional plant? Doesn't sound very green to me.

Soviet top-level domain refuses to die

I'm gonna have to register shit.su before they discontinue it.

(I know it's not spelled like that, but still...)

If I remember my sophomore Louisiana History class correctly, Poverty Point is the oldest man-made construction in N. America.

Tarantino 3D pr0no?

September 8, 2007 7:39pm

Yeah, a while back he mentioned that he wanted to do a Friday the 13th sequel.

Also, I saw a 3d John Holmes porn a while back called Disco Dolls in Hot Skin. It was odd in that the sex scenes were shot normally, and all the 3d gags involved people handing each other drinks and what not. No looming thirteen-inch rods.
