I do not care if this is old news, I think this is an amazing story, and I like that the man Falco mentions something inspirational at the end of the the story in the link to the British newspaper.

I love it when adults have the courage and intelligence to mantain their ability to be creative in the way that children are creative, and by that I mean through profound secret games that carry meaning like dreams carry meaning.

I was a soldier in Afghanistan and I saw many people with missing feet/lower legs. There was even a UN relief agency for people missing limbs.

It breaks my heart to think about people wounded like this, so I try not to, except in small doses, otherwise the world seems unbearable. But I have a lot of sympathy/empathy for them, and I appreciate what the miss landmine contest is trying to accomplish. It is a visceral feeling to look at healthy young people who are innocent victims.

Thanks for posting this, I have been listening to the classic tales podcast, which is nice, but I was looking for something more substantial (for free too!)
