I work for a printing company and I can say that giclées can be of really great quality in the hands of the right people using good equipment and the right paper. They are sprayed and not ink to plate to paper offset printed, but I think people would be hardpressed to come up with anything comparable on any typical consumer inkjet regardless of cost. A real good Iris machine runs a good 5 or 6 figures.
