The point made about front-line soldier blogs drying up is an important one. Also, there is a very limited number of journalists who're still embedded with U.S. forces in Iraq.

Two of the best of those are independent bloggers, Michael Yon, a retired special forces operative currently in Mosul, and Michael J. Totten. Check them out if you're interested in first-hand reporting from the front-lines, as anyone with a strong opinion about the war should be.
