Sunspots don't cause global warming, people do
April 4, 2008 11:01am
@#37: To say that "soil and the ocean" are the largest producers may be true, but it isn't relevant to the debate.
Much of the debate over global warming is whether humans are the cause. If you say that non-human sources of CO2 are irrelevant to the debate, then you're throwing scientific analysis to the wind.
It would be logical to assume that over the past 200 years we've contributed, as we've had explosive growth of CO2 producers just exhaling CO2 called humans, not including the animal population.
I do agree that we do need to start practicing conservative measures, but forcing it through government taxes and regulations isn't the way. People have to make a conscious decision to do so.

Another Aaron - "Most of the climate denialists are the same folks who jump on here to defend the Bush administration, the creationist museum, the TSA, and police brutality. Arguing with them is tantamount to going down to your local insane asylum and yelling at folks for licking the floor."
I'm more or less a global warming denialist, but thanks for denoting the difference between the sane ones and the insane denialists. Based on your scientific criteria, I shouldn't be in the asylum.
But, overall, the "global warming" issue is being used politically to hurt and hinder humankind through the form of a tax scheme. The carbon credit scam is ridiculous.
Isn't the largest producer of CO2 the soil, then the ocean? If so, why are humans only to blame?
Tear-free onion engineered
February 6, 2008 10:35am
A simple solution to reducing the tearing factor is to cool the onions in the freezer or refrigerator. Take them out and chop them up. Or buy a $10 food chopper.
It doesn't take genetically modifying an onion, which we have no way of knowing how it will affect our bodies in the long run.

It's really going to hurt the small farmers and make it too expensive to make a living.
One thing is a log for every time the animal leaves the "premises" it has to be logged. The small farmer will be inundated with sticking his nose in a computer log to manage his ten chickens, 2 goats and a pig.
They'll have to buy an ID tag/# for each animal. Corporate AgriBiz will be able to buy them in lots of 100, so the cost is much less for them.
This is meant to really help shut down the family farms and people who rely on themselves to provide food for their table rather than the Nanny state.
Find out more at http://www.nonais.org It's worth a look.
Take for instance, last years meat crisis. It wasn't meat from small farms, but meat from big packing plants, like ConAgra.
You see they import meat from other countries with lax inspection procedures. The meat then gets over here and meat from about 5 countries gets blended together. Combine that with less than ideal equipment sterilization at the plant and you have the makings of thousands or more people getting sick and possibly dying. NAIS won't be able to trace that whatsoever.
What do political poster designs say?
November 24, 2007 6:05pm
I agree that most were nit picky comments, but some were right on target. Sometimes the simplest designs are really the hardest to conceive.
But there did seem to be some obvious slant with the glorification over Hillary Clinton's design. Is he trying to get hired on the campaign or something?
And to comment on what SCHMOD, Ron Paul is a much better candidate than any of the current crop on both sides. Re-read your constitution about the 10th Amendment.
