Perhaps I´m misunderstanding something here (I´ve just pulled an all-nighter so that may very well be the case) but since the iTunes store has already sold a gazillion DRMed tunes, are they not obliged to prevent these tracks from being unlocked? I understand that crippled debugging tools must be a pain for programmers, but providing the tools to crack files that were purchased would certanly put Apple in very legal hot water with
the record companies yes/no? How could they possibly justify it?
Is this really an example of draconian DRM evilness Cory, or are they just (rightfully so) guarding their legal asses?
