My MacBook has an 80GB hard disk. I have no external storage, and 2GB free space. Shaving off 100MB is significant for me.

Particularly sad given that NH invested god knows how much in merchandising the old man on all their highway signs... Would probably cost less to construct a replacement than to replace all the signs.

He's still a powerful symbol in the state, despite his fall. Why replace him with a less iconic figure?

If you don't like the TV on at a bar or restaurant, ask the manager to shut it off. If they won't, don't go to said restaurant or bar anymore. Don't be a jerk and potentially ruin it for anyone else.

Funny prank at a conference, though. I probably wouldn't have done it, but it's good to mess with people. The comfort zone is boring. Anyone who's mad at these guys takes things way too seriously.

I got a $5 ($10?) gift certificate to Ben & Jerry's back in college for being a considerate driver. Campus Safety pulled into the parking lot behind me, walked over, thanked me, and gave me the card. Pretty nice, I thought, but then again I didn't get pulled over en route to somewhere.

I like the new look. Threaded comments would be a nice feature down the road.
