Now if you want something amusing....
If a large group of terrorists deliberately and publicly assumed aliases of popular American names... They could just work down the popularity list.
Anyone amused by judging by name yet?

Cops break into wrong house, leave note in magnetic fridge letters
August 12, 2008 7:38am
Funny? Depends on your sense of humor.
Police can and do make mistakes, the way they respond to mistakes is where they get to show professionalism and compassion to those they serve.
They stayed (assuming they hadn't just done the raid) to protect the persons belongings since the door was busted in.
Entering the residence a second time to leave the magnetic message is simply wrong.
Last but not least, I hope the police had the door properly repaired and a heartfelt apology should be given to the homeowners.
Police should be responsible for their actions and that includes making things right if they make mistakes.

I'm guessing that would make the swab they use run down the concourse and hide.

If I was them I would be rather concerned over losing their common carrier status.
Once they start deep scanning packets then someone can hold them responsible for not stopping the porn your 12 yr old surfed to.
Or for not stopping the child molester that is chatting with your 10 yr old daughter.
The point is once they start looking at content then they become responsible. That's why the phone company doesn't listen in. And no one else should either without a warrant from a judge.

US and EU commissioner trying (again!) to sneak software patents into Europe
May 14, 2008 10:14am
Close,
Everyone involved in attempting to slide this by by putting it in another bill should be sued.
This issue has been thoroughly debated and in the end it was voted down. Such a blatant attempt to bypass the previous vote should be actionable.
At least I would hope so, but I'm not familiar with EU law.
