There's a great Chinese restaurant here in Portland called OM that has a tank of 'em right next to the lobsters.

Spray-can graffiti controller for Wii

June 6, 2008 2:09pm

Do you have to shake up the 'can'?

Like real spray paint, they should make it so that you have periodically shake it up to control the pressure and / or consistency of the paint spray...

And make it so that you can hear the balls rattling around in the can. Maybe alter the pitch to warn you that you are running out of paint...

Real life Pinhead

Lungs Ashtray Entices Fatalists

March 14, 2008 3:24pm

I used to have an astray that had a dome over it, and above that was a pair of pink translucent plastic lungs... Kinda worked like a chimney for the astray, but the more you used it, the blacker the little lungs got. I actually never used it, and eventually gave it to a friend.

As for the warnings... When I was in Australia back in ’95, I remember seeing a cigarette machine in a bar that had an X-ray of some lungs that had emphysema. Covered the whole front of the machine. No text, just the image. Even though I was a smoker at the time, I thought it was pretty bad ass.

I didn't think any still made zines anymore.

Since everybody and their mother seems to have a blog (or even their own domain) to espouse their opinions, why make the trip to Kinko's?

That said, it is an artform. Much like band flyers, they have the handmade feeling that is impossible to convey via the internets (unless, you have Adobe CS and loads of time on your hands to make some look like it was actually hadnmade).

Moment of TSA surrealist zen @ LAX: Xeni

August 30, 2007 4:28am

I had the same thing happen to me in Atlanta, back in 2003... I had just gotten thru the metal detector / x-ray funtime... All of the sudden I hear "Every freeze. Don't move." Then the SWAT team runs out. We stood there for about 15 mintues, then a guy in suit came out of an office and said "This has been a drill, thank you for your cooperation"... Yep, the terrorists are winning.

No friends yet.
