Pre-WWII auto-dialler the size of a mini-fridge

I have to agree with STB... the picture in the lower right is merely showing the view from underneath the same box from the top photo, tipped on its end. It has the same flanges around the base and at the top right corner you can even see the phantom-finger-curvy-end-bit of the lever. Those discs are directly under the slot with the sliding knob.
Surveillance sign's Freudian slip

I'm sure the sign is supposed to read "crime prevention" and "public safety" but evidently their shift key is broken.
Aussie comedy duo explain subprime meltdown

For everyone who enjoyed "The Front Fell Off" this version, despite the washed-out video, contains the extra 8 seconds cut off on most YouTube copies, which is perhaps the funniest bit of all:
Aussie comedy duo explain subprime meltdown

Ahh IANM @ #6, you beat me to it! The first thing that always pops into my head at the mention of Clarke and Dawe is "The front fell off!"
Skateboard hating cop caught on video for 2nd temper tantrum
February 15, 2008 12:07am
The Baltimore Sun article stated "...Rivieri's suspension entails a transfer to administrative duties with pay."
The abc article says "Officer Rivieri is suspended without pay pending the outcome of an internal investigation of the incident with the skate boarder."
I'm more inclined to believe the first, since abc also calls him "Officer Friebele" when that was actually the name of the artist.
Video of man firing 18 rounds from a pistol in 3 seconds
February 4, 2008 2:30pm
This is no extraordinary feat for anyone who ever played Namco's Point Blank either at home or arcade!
50 Years of LEGO: Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon Time-Lapse Video
January 28, 2008 4:31pm
I have the UCS Star Destroyer ( rudimentary photo build log here: http://steiny.futariba.com/lego/ ) and have been debating ever since it appeared for pre-order whether or not to get the Falcon as well. I certainly hear you about the repetitiveness of the SD, but this looks way more enjoyable. Over Aus$1000 including postage is still a fair whack in the hip pocket... decisions decisions!
Mohawk toupee
October 19, 2007 3:18pm
Gyuzo of the Tokyo Shock Boys uses a stick-on removable mohawk. I'd never seen him without the mo' until I saw them live in 1998 and he neatly peeled it off for various parts of the act that required a bare scalp. It was obviously attached fairly well given some of the things he did with it on, but it seemed to come off and reattach with ease again afterwards.
